| The work is made of Burma Emerald, fan-shaped, embedded itself in a rosewood stand. The upper side of the work portrays a mantis hides in the morning glorys' vine, on which butterflies and beetles are carved by well-versed using the natural green colorof the jade material, and under which magpies stands; at the downside there are lots of opening chrysanthemums carved, symbolizing prosperous every day. Craftsman ingeniously used a wonderful touch of violet on the natural jade stone to carve some flowers and put the three Chinese characters "Qiu Qu Tu" (in English means Autumn Taste Scenery). The work presens a charming and bright autumn scene that people look forward to. Besides, chrysanthemums in Chinese pronounces "Ju" and the "Ju £¨¾Õ£©" is a homonym to "Ju (¾Ù£©", means becoming famous overnight. |
